I graduated from the University of East London in 2011 with a first-class honours degree in Computer Games Design (Story Development).
Ever since I was a child playing games like Crash Bandicoot, Rayman, Final Fantasy VIII, and the Sonic series, I've been enraptured by how the medium of the computer game can draw people into rich, interactive worlds. Nothing excited me more than the thought that one day I could bring this enjoyment to others.
At university, I worked hard to develop my skills in a broad range of game design and development roles, including taking on project-level responsibilities. I'm keen to get into narrative design — one day I'd like to write the story for an epic game of my own. Working as the Story Co-ordinator on a large university project, I was praised for my ability to weave the contributions of my coworkers into the world of the game.
Naturally, my other passion is reading. I'm particularly a fan of the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman, and the Artemis Fowl books by Eoin Colfer. I admire the way Terry Pratchett's Discworld series engages with the reader, paralleling our everyday problems in a colourful fantasy setting.
